FIGHTING FOR FAIR VOTING DISTRICTS,
ONE ACTION AT A TIME.
HAVE A FEW MINUTES?
In an effort to make North Carolina’s elections fair, reduce political divides, and stop racial gerrymandering (and the endless litigation that follows), Democracy North Carolina joins our coalition partners to support legislation that establishes an independent commission to create voting districts in a fair and open process. Join us in calling for our lawmakers to support independent redistricting reform ~ we’ll deliver the message.
HAVE AN HOUR?
Read up on the issue of redistricting and how unfair maps have affected the election process in North Carolina. We’ve provided a handy one-pager to get you started.
HAVE A BIT LONGER?
Join us March 1 at the N.C. legislature for the Citizens Lobby Day to End Gerrymandering. This special Lobby Day brings together citizens from all across the state on Wednesday, March 1, beginning at 9 a.m. at the N.C. General Assembly. It’s organized by the NC Coalition for Lobbying & Government Reform, an unusually broad coalition that includes such groups as Democracy NC, Common Cause, State Employees’ Association, and John Locke Foundation ~ we all agree: we must end gerrymandering.
